Baileys - Recycled Chic

I was peeking at a few other blogs this evening and came across Baileys, via Chocolate Creative.  Baileys looks like the sort of place I could spend days and days - there is such a lot to see and all of it looks pretty inspiring and the sort of goodies I'd love to fill my home with.  What's more, Baileys have published a book, entitled Recycled Home, providing creative and chic recycling ideas for your home.  If you are lucky enough to live anywhere near Bridstow then you can go and have a nosy at their bricks and mortar business and even have a coffee in the coffee shop ( bottom pic).

Gleena

I'm on a bit of a ceramics hunt today - check out these little beauties from Gleena, originally from Russia and now based in Pawtucket, Gleena specialises in slip porcelain designs.  You can check out her wares both at her Etsy store and on her own website.  I love the vintage style decoration used on her pieces.

Alyssa Ettinger

Lovely ceramic milk bottles made by Alyssa Ettinger, available at her Etsy shop.  I just love the matt finish of these fab designs.

Makool Loves You

... and I love Makool Loves You too!  Lovely pieces of handmade fashion from US based boutique.

Heather Dewick

We had a stall at the Craft Candy Spring Fling Fair in Sheffield this weekend and it was great fun, we met lots of lovely talented people and it was busy all day long, despite the bad weather!  I'm planning to showcase some of the maker's work I saw on Saturday, so here is the first one - Heather Dewick, a bookbinder and restorer based in Sheffield who makes these fantastic books using vintage tea towel material and handmade fabrics as covers.

LaLaLaurie

Love this brooch by
LalaLaurie.

Su Turno

I came across Su Turno via the etsy blog, and they have some lovely products and patterns which are right up my street.  Im afraid I cant tell you too much about them as their bog is in italian which Im afraid I can't speak!  But check out their collection, which includes, cushions, tiles and more.

Cracking Easter Decorations

Today I am curled up on the sofa, feeling sorry for myself, enduring a Jeremy Kyle show no less. I have been struck down with a really nasty cold which I think I must have picked it up from the kids at the school I'm working at, so its only a quick post today.  I've been looking at the Martha Stewart site recently, looking at their lovely photos of crafty projects - above are some of their lovely ideas for Easter decorations.

I feel Happy, I feel Happy...

I feel Happy, so Happy today... and probably because I found these lovely goodies over at the Happy store! I came across Happy, run by Caroline and Geralldine, the other day via the hugely inspirational Decor8 blog and had to have a snoop about their lovely store - there are lots of lovely goodies like the ones above to spend my moolah on - if only I had any!!

Mint

When looking at the lovely blog of Chocolate Creative (below) one of their links was Mint, a brick and mortar shop in London who also have a lovely website.  I chanced upon their blog and found these lovely brightly colored offerings.  I love the contrast of the rough, natural bark and the bright, smooth gloss interior.  Ticket to London for one, please - I need to get my mits on those bowls!

Chocolate Creative

I checked out the fantastic blog of Chocolate Creative today, after they left a comment on my blog and I'm so glad I did.  The design duo behind Chocolate Creative are Kate Read and Margarita Lorenzo - a couple of very talented individuals.  I'm particularly in love with the cushion cover - another thing to add to my ever expanding wishlist!! Their blog is also full of lovely imagery and inspiration so get yourselves over there!

Joanne Rutter

I'm a huge fan of Joanne Rutter's work and although I have posted about it previously, I wanted to show you these lovely images from her blog.  I just love her painstakingly paper cut works and the way she shows off her wonderful jewellery pieces using the tree trunks is just fabulous - what a fantastic designer- Im not jealous honest!!

Bear Necessities

I came across this fantastic design on Apartment Therapy and Ohdeedoh blogs and just had to share it.  This is especially apt as Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man is showing on Sky soon.  (I saw the trailer yesterday).  This would freak your mates out on a camping trip if you poked your head into their tent with that big brown furry face! This grizzly design comes from Eiko Ishizawa , an artist based in Holland.  At present it is not available to purchase but Eiko is researching the possibility of producing the design for purchase in the future.

DarlingDillyDilly

Darlingdillydilly caught my eye recently when I was lurking about on Flickr.  Her work is mainly in gift tags but it was these lovely items which caught my eye! Im a bit of a sucker for a birdie or two and these little fellas are just lovely!

Vintagetown

I love a good cuppa and what better way to keep my teapot nice and warm with these lovely colorful cozies from Vintagetown.  Vintagetown also creates lovely paper sculptures and is bringing out a book showcasing her lovely work this Spring.

Summerville

Lucie Summers is a British designer based in Suffolk who I noticed a while back on Flickr but whose work has also featured on other well-known blogs which I have looked at recently including Bloesem (a lovely design blog full of inspiration written by Irene Hoofs) and PrintPattern - (a fantastic blog dedicated to print and pattern).  Lucie Summers has been designing some lovely colorful handprinted textiles for a while now and has a successful Etsy shop which goes by the name of Summersville and she has more recently used her gorgeous textiles in bookcovering and the results are just beautiful. You can see her work here and buy her lovely work here.

Bear Paw Rustics

I really like this idea - birdhouses that look like birds nest - or at least like a very talented bird has made it - stick one of these cute little homes by Bear Paw Rustics in your garden and there will be guaranteed to be a bit of nest envy from the local robins and bluetits!

Telle

I love these cute little creations.  I'm in love with those cute plush toys on wheels, which are developed from Telle's illustrations, a talented French designer and illustrator.

C'est chic, c'est magnifique!

...that's about as much French as I can muster!  I came across a couple of wonderful French blogs the other day which have some fantastic posts and images - its no wonder that the French are world renowned for their chic style.  The images above are from Atelier Charivari based in Rouen.  I just love the mix of colors used in the boutique store.
