If you go down to the woods today...

One of our exercises on the ABSPD Module 1 was to create some character designs.  I've always had trouble drawing animals and people but finally created some girls and woodland creatures that I was fairly happy with as a start.

I have a habit of throwing everything including the kitchen sink into my designs and this design was even busier until my husband cast his eye over it and said it might be a bit full on.  So this is the pared back version - believe it or not.  The colours have become a bit muted when I've uploaded them this time but you get an idea.

Which version do you prefer?  Would you like to see anything else added/removed from the design to improve it?  All suggestions welcome.

If you go down to the woods today

Im a real country girl at heart and love images of log cabins in the woodlands.  One day I would love to live in the countryside in the woods in a cozy log cabin. (image links here)

Soop

Soop is an artist based in London who makes these lovely nature inspired acrylic rings which you can wear separately or all on one finger to create a woodland scene or your own unique landscape. Mix and match the rings however you like. Soop also have their own website which showcases their ceramic work

Small Stump

Small Stump sells these lovely bark tubes which you can put your plants in, and these little fake mossy pebbles which looks like the real thing, except without the creepy crawlies and you can add a couple of these to a little group of the birch bark sets to create a woodland in your own home.
