So our wedding is in less than 5 months and I haven't got a clue what wedding dress I want, or rather I have but they are too dear and I have left it a bit late to get one made (plus can't really afford that) so I'm thinking of making my own which given the amount of other wedding stuff I'm trying to do at the same time may be a dreadful idea! But here are some images I found lately which are serving as inspiration.

Tara Badcock

(this one is the front panel of a wedding dress that Tara designed for a friend!)

Wow! This lady's work is absolutely stunning! Tara Badcock, creator of Paris Tasmania resided in Paris for 3 years before returning to Tasmania. She creates her own range of homewares, fashion and textile wares using fabric manipulation and embroidery techniques. I am absolutely in love with the wedding dress embroidery she created for a friend!! There are literally hundreds of amazing images of Tara's work on her flickr site. Go check it out!

Blog of the Week - Once Wed

I got engaged 2 and half years ago and this year we are hoping to start planning our wedding.  If you are planning a wedding or has a friend who is, and if they haven't found Once Wed's great site yet, go straight there right now!  It features lots of beautiful weddings, DIY ideas for your wedding, second hand gorgeous wedding dresses, great links and heaps of inspiration to get your wedding planning underway.  So now I have no excuse to put off the planning.

Violise Lunn

Last year I got engaged while on holiday in Japan.  Although its now over a year ago since we got engaged I haven't really done much about organising the wedding.  Although I have started looking at wedding dresses and this is one of the lovely designs I found.  Violise Lunn was born in Copenhagen, she graduated as a fashion designer in 1995 from Denmark's Design School and has run her own design studio in Copenhagen since 1997 where she specialises in designing one off pieces of clothing for women, and as you can see they are pretty stunning!  The black and white dress is made from paper - can you believe it!  Violise also makes pretty paper shoes too.
