Back in the days when the Bettyjoy boutique was open, one of my fine suppliers/designers was Heather Moore aka Skinny La Minx from Capetown.  Her work is so inspiring, she not only creates great designs on ceramic and cloth but also works as an illustrator too from her studio in Capetown.

This year I have resolved to spend more time designing prints and patterns, something I love doing but never have enough time to do.  A great resource for getting your prints onto fabric without any of the usual mess and screenprinting shenanigans, is Spoonflower, who you may already have heard of.  Just send them your designs and you get back your designs looking pretty and ready for use. No ink and no fuss - perfect!  Above are some good examples of designers who have used Spoonflower for their prints.
