My favourite weather is bird chirping weather...

Today is seriously lacking in bird song, the wind howling down the chimney is making glad to be indoors today.

I'm back from my last week of filming in Bath, its all happened so quickly, I cant believe the filming for the first series is already over. I had one of the best (and possibly one of the most stressful) weeks in Bath filming. I cant believe I hadn't set foot on Bath soil before, its a truly stunning place - the architecture, the shops, the countryside and the people were all fantastic - the only thing about Bath that wasn't wonderful was the Hilton, but thats too boring to moan about (suffice to say £20 per day for Wifi!!! and another £20+ day to park a car etc etc)

Now its unfortunately back to the reality of finding a job and sorting my life out in general. In the meantime however, I have a few lovely new things to share with you. A random choice, but a pretty one nevertheless!

Knit and Destroy Cupcake Cushion

At the summer craft candy fair at the millennium galleries, I got my boyfriend to enter a competition to guess the sweets in the jar at Knit and Destroy's stall, and guess what we won! I never win anything, so this is a first! Thank you to the wonderfully talented Kandy Diamond of Knit and Destroy for this lovely surprise.

Tara Badcock

(this one is the front panel of a wedding dress that Tara designed for a friend!)

Wow! This lady's work is absolutely stunning! Tara Badcock, creator of Paris Tasmania resided in Paris for 3 years before returning to Tasmania. She creates her own range of homewares, fashion and textile wares using fabric manipulation and embroidery techniques. I am absolutely in love with the wedding dress embroidery she created for a friend!! There are literally hundreds of amazing images of Tara's work on her flickr site. Go check it out!

Been busy....

... making bunting/mobiles using scraps of paper and lace etc, got carried away with with a few old wooly jumpers and a bit of old vintage clothkits fabric and made cushions and the blanket/throw - perfect for winter.(The cute little nelly I got from Kiss Prudence at one of our Craft Candy fairs). Also found this desk in a skip, me and my boyfriend went out under the cover of darkness to 'steal' it and then I sanded it down and then rubbed emulsion into it, to try and achieve the shabby beach feel (is that even a description??).

Ashley Thomas

These lovely printed goodies are made by Ashley Thomas, a UK surface pattern designer from Derbyshire.  They feature quirky designs and lots of lovely birds and animals.

Lush Designs

I'm in love with Lush Designs!! We are in the process of making our house a bit nicer this summer and so have been trawling through the 'net in search of lovely bits for our house. During one of my recent trawls, I came across Lush Designs who make these amazing lampshades, I would love one of each design as they are all wonderful. Lush also design tea-towels, cushions aprons and more and for those of you lucky enough to live in/or near London, they also have a shop based in Greenwich Market.

Lutterlagkage

Beautiful colorful cushions and clothing made from Stine who owns Lutterlagkage, she has has recently moved from Denmark to Malmo, Sweden.  Her shop is closed at the moment but Im hoping its only temporary - but you can still see her wonderful work on her flickr site.
